OBJECTIVES
GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To analyze, explore, and deepen the study of female spirituality, spiritual feminism, and the importance of Women’s Circles as fundamental methodological strategies for promoting leadership and sisterhood within the framework of fourth-wave feminism, as privileged spaces for individual and collective empowerment and well-being, and therefore as strategic arenas for social transformation toward gender equality.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- To describe and interpret the practices and discourses of Women’s Circles in their efforts to promote effective gender equality, well-being, health, and female leadership while strengthening feminist networks and alliances
- To explore the motivations, experiences, and outcomes of participants in these circles
- To reflect on their impact on women’s spiritual, personal, and professional empowerment and well-being.
- To examine the role of new technologies, especially the Internet, in expanding Women’s Circles.
- To discuss how these Women’s Circles act as spiritual and communal spaces where women share experiences of all areas of life, in a patriarchal society that continues to exist, seeking empowerment through sisterhood.
- To consider whether Women’s Circles are spaces for support, self-knowledge, and at the same time, drivers for personal and social transformation.
- To analyze how reflection and dialogue within these encounters enable women to identify and challenge oppressive patriarchal power structures, developing strategies to resist and transform these dynamics in their lives and communities.
- To determine whether Women’s Circles foster feminist critical awareness and political activism, encouraging reflection on women’s roles in society and their participation in gender equality movements.
- To explore the discourses and collaborative practices within these circles and their impact on promoting gender equality and cultural transformation.
- To highlight the research and trajectories of key women scholars and leaders in this field of study.
- To contrast these experiences with international references, evaluating whether participation in Women’s Circles enhances leadership, health, and well-being; helps prevent or overcome gender violence; nurtures religious and spiritual transcendence; and fosters collective female alliances.
